2013 mini cooper started by itself

Asked by herride383 May 14, 2015 at 09:08 PM about the 2013 MINI Cooper Convertible FWD

Question type: General

I turned my mini off as I usually do.. push the button popped out the key bob.. left the garage door open and took my garbage can to the street... came in pressed the garage door closer.. went in the house.. came back out 3 min later and the car was running.
tried to turn it off by pressing the start button a couple time .. didn't shut off.. went to get the key bob and when I came out it turned itself off... any ideas folks?

no one around to pull a funny on me... dry day.. nothing wet..

I have a 1/2 hp master lift.. don't know more than that.. hasn't done it again. But thank you for your response.
