Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The two speakers on the driver side do not work.  What do I have to do to replace them?

You would have to remove the front door panel and get replacement speakers from a Bestbuy or Circuit city to replace them with. To remove the door panel remove the screws that hold them in place and the then pull the door panel off. Then you can disconnect the speaker, its a very easy connection to remove, pull it out, and do everything in reverse with the new speakers in.

Before I took the door off, I'd take the radio out, and make sure the connections TO the right side are solid. From there you can jerry rig wires and connect them to a spare speaker to make sure the radio's not at fault. Taking out the radio is a lot easier, less time consuming than the door is. I just now see that this post is 6 years old and am betting that car's no longer on the road...

My 2000 caravan is NOT prewired for door speakers. Do you know how to get wiring from the door to inside the vehicle?
