Why does my clutch fall to floor

Asked by urbancrown Jan 16, 2013 at 02:42 PM about the 1997 Dodge Dakota SLT Club Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Clutch fell to floor and is now hard to depress

If the truck has a hydraulic clutch, you have blown a hose probably. I don't know if it even is hydraulic though. If not, linkage may have come apart, look under the vehicle for fluids, then look at the underside for dangling parts. OR, the pressure plate has broken and the throw out bearing is pushing on nothing
