Using Dex vs. Standard coolant is a personal preference. You can check out Dex coolant at :http://pennzoil.com/products/ancillary/dexcool.html. It is a different color than standard coolant so distinguishes itself when in the cooling system of your vehicle. It is an extended life antifreeze/coolant formula. It is probably more expensive than standard coolant but they say it lasts longer. Both will do what they say they will do it just depends on what you are looking for.
Dex cool has been rumored to cause damage to certain engines. If it was me, I would stick with the standard. Don't let a $70 radiator flush have the possibility of costing you an engine.

There now is a universally compatible coolant that is good for 5 years or 150k miles. Wal-mart sells their Super Tech brand for about $7/gallon.
