well mark i am trying to buy this van for my business. however on craigs list the seller cannot deactivate the security system. I really like the price and its great for what i need it for and it seems mechanically sound however his mechanic activated the system and now he cant deactivate it .

Most good locksmiths can kill it. Google a locksmith in your area and if the van's that good ... add an extra $100 to it

You can't unless you change bcm and remove skim reader and flash ecm. You can remove the relays for it from the fuse box.

The security algorithm is embedded into the OBC. Most security programs require a code-decode sequence that works by pulsing info to the computer ... They pulse instead of using a steady signal because you can't jump out a pulse. The computer looks for an On signal ... then an Off signal. If you jump the "On" signal than as soon as it looked for "off" the alarm would go off (unless U were quick enough to remove the jumper a 100 times a second). Some creative people will use a remote car starter to bypass the security ... however .. that is not what they are intended for and it is illegal to do if it's not your car .
