Car starts and dies a second later

Did you check the fuel pressure
No I haven't. I got 2 mechanics telling to check fuel pump. The other to check the automatic security shutdown system. I just want to make sure I'm checking the right issues
How do you check the fuel pressure
Please try the following procedure. Spray starting fluid in the plenum and start the car. If it continues to run after ten or so seconds, then everything is ok. Sometimes the fuel pump needs to be primed and just getting the vehicle started allows the proper pressure to do this and also proves your ignition, timing and everything else is good. If it does not stay running, then suspect the pump not running or a fuel delivery issue is present. Mine started and has been running great after I replaced the fuel filter and sprayed the starter fluid.
i have a 2002 dodge caravan just replaced fuel pump, it starts idles really rough and when you put it in gear it shuts off was told may be spark plugs help please
@GuruXL12K I had the same problem on a Chevy van and it ended up being a distributer cap problem.

I know late but just asking. Is your alarm set? If your alarm is set it's a kill switch and it turns off your motor
if it starts normally and dies 2s after the key was turned, and the "alarm" lamp didn't go out out 1s after the lamp check ended for the other lamps, and it changed to flashing, putting 2 new CR2016 batteries in the sentry key fob should solve the problem.
