86’ Honda Prelude SI

Asked by Kevin Mar 29, 2020 at 04:20 AM about the 1986 Honda Prelude 2 Dr Si Coupe

Question type: Car Customization

I’m looking at an 86’ Prelude SI. And it seems
very difficult to find any type of lowering
spring or coil overs for this type of car. I was
wondering if maybe they didn’t make as many
for these types or if maybe another car or cars
are interchangeable suspension wise for coil
overs for the 86’ prelude si. Anything helps
thanks!

go to prelude power.com, forums, prelude forums, 2nd gen, look at the stickys at the top. go to resources, then technical information. But as you found out there is not much aftermarket support for your car. What others have done in the past is install some KYB GR 2 struts with coiler over sleeves and springs from a 94 to 2000 integra. A lot of the articles are from the 15 years ago, so I am not sure if you can source those parts anymore. Good luck searching. HTH's
