Check battery for proper charge. If battery is low have it charged. If runs after battery is charged check alternator for proper voltage. Sounds like the alternator might have went bad and it was trying to run just off of battery power.
X 2 on the low voltage in the battery.
Sounds like a weak ground from the engine to body. Idk hondas but most cars have grounds by the pass strut tower and drivers headlight area. check the trans for one too? Does it struggle going up hills? If it turns over like normal, not your battery. If you check the battery with a multi on 20v and it's 13.5-15v then your alt is fine.
Certainly sounds like a bum voltage regulator. I would, though, check the all the battery cables/ground straps.
I should have clarified, checking the battery with the multi while your car is running and it's between 13.5-15 then your alt would be fine. Does it ever have issues trying to start? Click / clicking / no starter spin? I also mention ground because if you have a weak ground, whatever is grounding will try to ground through something else. A weak ground can cause a no start situation and make you think you're trippin.. ask me how I know. Is there a ground beneath your fusible links? remove, wire brush surface and bolt, grease, reinstall for each ground.

thanks everyone fer ur post most of ur answers i already check and it turned out something shorted in the cluster so problem solved
Schultz, I was thinking that it could possibly be a short in your headlights and turn signal switch, located right at your steering column? I am having some issues with mine at this moment, actually, if anyone has some input. Maybe I could find it useful as I am not exactly sure if this is what I'm dealing with. I guess I can start with cranking my car up. It does fine. Put it in reverse, okay. Roll down the road 50-80 miles per hour. Not a problem. This is with my headlights off. However, as soon as I switch them ON, my car loses power. When I hit my brakes, both turn signal lights come on. When I turn my turn signal on, there is a buzz ing noise coming from under the dash. I have replaced the alternator, distributor, and I have checked all grounds. I've even taken some off, brushed and cleaned them, and put them back on securely. Can anyone help me? 88' CRX DX.
I had this same, I mean, same exact problem. I replaced the main relay, was not the problem. Changed distributor, starter, grounds, and a couple of other things, and right as I'm pulling the battery out, I notice that I don't have a ground wire running from my battery to my frame. I didn't even order one, I found a piece of wire for test, wired it up, and it cranked right up. Moral of the story, check your battery ground.
