Can a 93 dodge dakota engine be interchanged
with a 96 dodge dakota 3.9 v6 magnum engine?

Are they both the 3.9 ? , if yes then you can. if not you can get it in, but you will need the tranny, wiring harness and ECM...

Not certain....chkd with a scrap yard, u pick and pull thing. Should I just start over and get another truck? Gave 1,500 for the 96 and my daughter loves it but I can't afford to sink lots of money into it :(

The pick and pulls are hit and miss on the engines, you could get a good one or a bad one you have no idea. see if ebay may have anything with free shipping that may have a warranty. A good used rebuilt will cost bouta 1,000 to 2,000 dollars, plus install. If that's the case I would sell that car and start over and try to find something with low miles at a good price...
