Which way does the clutch release bearing go on ..I thought I put it on right but put back together and started and makes a terrible racket ...just put in clutch kit...I'm at a loss it's on a 88 nissan stanza gxe

Just replaced clutch release bearing and clutch but still makes terrible noise

If clutch works then it is in right. Did you replace the pilot bearing?

Did the trans go back on smoothly or did you have to force it all back together?
