what would cause my 96 neon to kill, then after about an hour crank right up and run like nothing happened?

Asked by Lma Sep 13, 2013 at 09:00 PM about the 1996 Dodge Neon Coupe FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My dodge killed one day and after about 15 minutes, it cranked and I drove on home. Day
before yesterday it killed and I had to tow it home. I tried to crank it when we got there
and it started right up.

look at fuel pump ( slight vibration or humming noise if its working). If noise check fuel pressure.

My wife 1996 Neon has this same issue, she would just wait for it to come back on sitting on the side of the road. The solution was replacing the CAM position sensor.
