I have a 1995 dodge dakota that some times when I start it runs really rough and the idle is all over the place and will die when i put it in gear to move it but it doesnt do it all the time

this is a 1995 dodge Dakota with a V8 magnum that some times will run rough when I start it and the tach jumps all over the place and the truck will die. please help

possibly the ide air control valve. it is on the driver side of the throttle body.
