The problem I have is with a leak around the fuel tank area in the rear when it is running. Is this a filter problem? I know it is not the tank.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Heavy leak at the tank when the
vehicle is running. Would not pass
emissions testing before this problem
was evident. Was told it is possibly a
bad filter and that the canister busts
after it ages but found no info about
that.

Please do not drive it while it's leaking fuel. Also use caution while trying to locate the leak. Extreme risk of fire. A small inspection mirror will really help in locating the leak.

It has been sitting since March and not driven because of the leak and the tags expired in March.

To ease the inspection for leak process I would un bolt the bed of truck and get a couple guys to help lift it off. This way no matter what is leaking it will be easier to find and repair.
