1983 Toyota pickup not starting when warm

Asked by michael_opperman57 Aug 05, 2017 at 04:09 PM about the 1983 Toyota Pickup 2 Dr SR5 4WD Standard Cab LB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have an 83 first gen Toyota pickup with a 22r, 4x4,
5 speed, and it will start when it's cold, but after
you shut it off when its warm, it won't fire back up,
it doesn't even click, or turn over, just nothing,
almost like there's no battery in it, does anything
have any clue what it could be?

Clearly you need to test the battery and clean and tighten the battery connections. The starter may be the problem however so have it tested too.
