my 1988 4 cylinder pickup wont start without priming it, could it be the cold start switch causing the problem?

Asked by runder644 Nov 22, 2014 at 07:15 PM about the 1988 Toyota Pickup 2 Dr STD 4WD Standard Cab SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I recently put a new head gasket, timing chain and cover, new plugs and wiring. Now the truck doesn't start unless you prime it first. I replaced the sending unit and another switch however I unable to obtain one switch from the parts store. I've been told its possibly a broken wire, I need advise.
