I have a 1989 southern Calif. 1 ton long bed with the 3vze engine, auto trans and no extras. Total original miles: 103k. I drive it 20 miles p/year max. The body is rusting out around the windshield and behind front wheels. It runs like a sewing machine but it is U G L Y! I'd like to find a clean & straight one with a blown engine and do the transplant thing. Is this a good idea, bad idea or should I just break down and buy an AM DB9 Vanquish for a little more money and enjoy the new car warranty?
This is totally up to you and what you would like to do, either or. I myself would opt to do a transplant with your engine & transmission, and also buy the vehicle your looking at. Then if you wanted, you could sell the transplant vehicle for more money than just getting rid of the old vehicle, if you wanted.
