how can I fix my truck

My 1995 dodge dakota will ack fine but the rpms are siting
at 500 and it will just die when idling but if I pump the gas
everything is just fine what could be wrong with it?

Might try cleaning idle air control valve, mass airflow sensor and possibly the throttle body. If the carbon buildup in the throttle body is gumming up around the butterfly valve, it can cause less air getting through which can decrease idle speed
