2013 Acura TL timing belt

I have a 2013 Acura TL in for some warranty service to change out piston
rings.  The dealer asked if I wanted to change out the timing belt for $1,000
while they have the engine open.  They say the savings would be about
$1,000 (vs $1,400).  The TL has 67,000 miles.  Dealer says recommendation
is 7 years or 100,000 miles which ever is first.  There is no indication that the
belt needs to be replaced.  What should I do?

I am sorry I saw this post this late, but that dealership robbed the hell out of you. They literally have to take the timing belt off to fix your pistons. All they have to do is replace the old belt with a new belt. Then reinstall all the parts they took off. They are charging you a $1000 for that? Really? Basically they are charging you to fix your piston issue. I will never go to a stealership to fix anything.
