Starter backing out

Asked by Tim Apr 29, 2017 at 12:38 AM about the 1982 Ford Bronco STD 4WD

1982 Bronco with a 1978 351w. Replaced
fly wheel and starter and have starter
running off a switch. Starter has lock
washers on both bolts. After a couple of
starts the starter is loose. Tried a shim also.

Also make sure those are starter bolts you are using. There is a difference between a regular bolt.
