stereo wiring instructions without wire harness

Could you clarify your question? Is it that you have a stereo with the colored wires you mentioned, and want to know how to hook them up?

The standard color coding for aftermarket radios is: RED = Switched 12V (needs 12V when key is in RUN or ACC but does not need voltage when the key is off) BLACK = Chassis Ground YELLOW = Constant 12V (Always needs 12V even when key is off) BLUE = Remote 12V (This is used for amps. No amps? Then leave disconnected but make sure the end is NOT exposed - very important) ORANGE = Illumination 0V to 12V (just leave disconnected and your radio will be nice and bright)
