I have an 87 bronco and its idling very high. What do I need to do to get it to idle down?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My Bronco 87 is idling very high. It just started doing it yesterday. I can't
seem to get it to stay at a low idle. Will idle low for a minute or so then jump
back up.

Check idle air control valve. It is located at your throttle body. Two bolts to take it off and you can clean it with throttle body cleaner. Be sure to hold it so fluid doesn't drain into electric side.
