does this model have a fuel check valve

My bronco runs great when you get it started...problem is that I have to wait for the fuel
pump to get the gas up....sometimes as long as 5 minutes. I can do that but it would be
nice to be able to start it when I get in

Not that I know of. Try replacing fuel filter and clean throttle body add fuel injector cleaner to gas tank use the middle grade or high test gas to help clean out the gum and carbon build. Also check air filter. Fuel pump maybe on its way out also.
thank you both for your answers....the fuel pump is brand new, the pump relays and relay grounds are my next check. thanks again
You're not getting "Rail" pressure----3 things effect starting---i-fuel control valve--2 leaky injectors 3-check valve----Put a pressure gauge on the rail-----turn key to get inline pumps to work --pressure will be about 35-45---should hold steady----if not, look at those 3 things!
I got a 89 with 5.0 doing same thing I got new gas tank tank pump inline pump and fule filter in front of inline pump did u ever find out ur problem because I need help
I got screwed on buying a high pressure pump for my 1989 Bronco online----Not by the seller directly, but by them not advertising it fully------It put out great pressure and then fell right off--moral--NO internal check valve. It cost me money for a shop to put the pump in and I was stranded when next morning it wouldn't start ! So I had to crawl under and put old pump back in. If they would have told me before hand--all I needed to do is buy inline check valve !!!
