Any fuses that would cause my bronco II to not go into gear? It's an auto

No I dont think so, I would check the shift linkage, from the shifter to the transmission.

yes could be, to power up the brain for solenoids in an electric shift unit, no forward nor reverse raises questions i agree

Probably not but check all the fuses just in case. It will only take 5 minutes or so.
