I have a 88 Bronco II that won't start

I have replaced a starter (burned-up) , start solenoid (old one stuck on), start switch.....after all this ....solenoid gets stuck on ....stays on after switch is turned off, even after ignition wire on solenoid is pulled off. won't start engine....any idea???

Recheck the starter wires, at cylinoid,and make sure they are not crossed.

No crossed wires made sure of that, found rusted relay , replaced and it started up.....going to give it a test drive and see if that was the problem.
