A lot of times it is the control circuit board in the wiper motor. It may be replaceable.

A+ Rowefast, those motors will go nuts all on their own. Yet another "better idea" from Ford.

Just had another one in the shop today, same problem. motor was $178 from Ford.
2013 year? Should be under warranty.

Just had this problem. Read about how to take apart and clean the contacts to fix. I came up with a quicker fix that is working so far. I just turned my switch all the way and off half a dozen times real quickly and that cleaned the contacts. Been working a week so far!
