Question type: Maintenance & Repair

A friend of mine traded me a 2003 Ford
Escape for my leather furniture. He parked
the vehicle 4 yrs back at a friends farm. At
the time He could only back the vehicle
into a spot that his buddy provided. I
ended up installing a fresh battery. No
good. No lights no bells no whistles.
Nothing at all but a little spark when I
connected the battery terminals. I towed
the vehicle to my house. I tested every
single relay, every single fuse, all good.
Double checked battery voltage, all good.
Even went as far as replacing the ignition.
Oh and I have a good ground. Any
thoughts any ideas would be greatly
appreciated, I just want the damn thing to
start, lol

I hope the furniture was not worth anything. Did you clean and tighten the battery cable ends? Did you drain the fuel tank of the old oxidized gas?
