Have a short that is causing radio, dash lights to not work... suggestions as to where to look? new battery.

94 DDS4WD with new battery... has a short, clock on radio works until you pull headlamp switch out, dash lights don't work at all... I unplugged radio to see if that was causing the short, didn't change the dash lights issue.  any suggestions would be helpful.

Ez ....3The only thing is that is not working is dash lights
