Wont start

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hey so i have a 94 dodge dakota that would die on
me every once in a while. No warning. And now it
wont start at all. I have replaced plugs, wires, cap
and rotor, and coil. Tried starter fluid and still
wouldnt start. I ran the codes by turning the key off
and on 5 times and it said ecm error/ egr valve
solenoid 3 error. Ive messed around with the egr
valve before and i know that that wouldnt cause it
to not start. The only thing i can think of besides
thhe ecm is the igniotion to the coil pack??? Any
opnions or advise to help me out? Im pretty
bummed out.

My Chrysler Sebring convertible did same thing . I needed a Starter then the alternator. Alternator was draining lights and battery but was very slow over 2 year. Usually alternator just goes fast. Just dies totally won't start or turn engine. Just Key clicks in ignition. No dash light windows or locks wor. DEAD IS DEAD

Try this, disconnect both battery cables and touch them together for a minute or so then reconnect and try to start, this is called a hard reset. If it doesn't start check for spark, remove a spark plug wire insert a screwdriver into the boot and then hold the metal part of the screwdriver 1/2 in. from a metal part of the engine block then have someone crank the engine while you look for spark, if no spark check coil ect. I hope this helps. Take care.
