why does battery always drain
1988 ford festiva new alternator had it
tested twice while on the tester
battery reads good amperage volts
alternator is charging system but
battery keep losing power need to
keep everything electrical off or car
dies pop start going again something
just keeps drain power

didn't seem to start til after replace the clutch
Damien,you may have to do a load test on the power system to narrow the search,it is a short,but this can be hard to tack to what,i think it may be the igintion switch,this doe,s kill the power to a lot of the car,but this will be hard to track down,but most of the time it is the ignition switch.
like I said in the other question you asked on.. you'll need to research parasitic draw and get the right tools to track it down. It's relatively simple and cheap but takes some time. You can check it on each fuse and once you find it you know which circuit to check.
