Crown Victoria shifter cable

Now I wanna start off by saying my trans is
good but for some odd reason my car won’t
shift, I thought maybe it was the cable but when
I was playing with the brake it shifted into
reverse and then that was pretty much it, it
starts and turns off perfectly fine , also my abs
light is on do you think that contributed ? I need
advice
