I have a 1987 Volvo 240. After the engine is running for several minutes and trying to accelerate the car lose power and the engine turn off. Any reason for this situation?

The first thing I would do is check for diagnostic codes if your car is equipped with the diagnostic connector. I'm not sure if 1987 models were equipped with it, though. https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=122474

It sounds like an issue with either the MAF or throttle position sensor. Could also be a fuel delivery issue, but being that it sounds like it's only when hot, that leads me to the MAF.
