Starter?

Asked by marespop1 Apr 25, 2016 at 07:51 PM about the 1992 Dodge Dakota LE Club Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When I get in the truck in the morning to start up
and go I sometimes get a small click that's all. The
seat belt alarm goes off, the dome light is bright,
so I don't think it's battery related. Does it sound
like maybe the starter's getting ready to go? I just
had the tranny rebuilt if that matters. 92' Dakota,
V6, 4x4.

Could be the starter going bad or just need to remove and clean battery terminal post and ends. Would try cleaning first.
