My car is smoking and I don't know why?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a Ford focus 2003 2.0 engine. I'm no mechanic but I
put in a new alternator, spark plugs & wire set for them,
valve cover gasket, reservoir for antifreeze, thermostat
housing, & my car still smoking in front behind the heat
shield (where my finger is pointing). I put everything back
together like it's supposed to be & I'm still having the same
problem. Can someone help me out!!!

I was neither. There was oil from before that spilled & all I did was take a paper towel & soked it all up.
