1986 300e and the electric rad cooling fan will not shut off. Seems like it must be a sensor. any ideas on where or which sensor??

If your engine isn't overheating then you have a faulty temperature sensor or an open circuit in the temp sensor wiring. There is a designated sensor just for the auxillary fan (electric fan) on this engine. It will be a two wire sensor. I believe there are three temp sensors one other one is for the gauge (probably a single wire), the other one I think is for climate control.
