Asked by Michael Apr 10, 2019 at 01:36 PM about the 1989 Mercedes-Benz 300-Class 300E Sedan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1989 300e. I pushed on the brakes and it
jerked on the rear passenger side when braking.
No leaks or anything to give warning to replace
something.it just started doing it I'm just looking
for a heads up before it gets worse and take more
to fix

Most likely a warped brake rotor due to over heating. Might have a caliper that's not releasing, causing brake to drag and get hot. Have it evaluated. You might even be due for pads and rotors (both sides), and have the mechanic check for that seized up caliper. Now, if your car has drum brakes instead of rotors, it would be the same deal...a warped drum from a stuck brake cylinder or a dragging parking brake.
