Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Coolant is leaking really quickly from this part. Is there a hose or cap that goes over it?

That's where a big black hose goes. The other end in on the engine.

Looks like the overflow outlet. Not really a leak, but when the coolant gets hot and expands it is normal to have coolant come out and flow in to the coolant reservoir. there should be a hose, a small rubber hose, going from that nipple to the plastic tank/ Not to worry, easy fix.. what you have circled there, to answer you, is that hose.

there is an overflow reservoir these days, not the big Stant cap we've come to know and love from days gone by- Get a new radiator or take it to be serviced at like "Pankeys Radiators" in Hayward, CA or some specialty radiator repair shop, you know these really aren't that expensive for a new one....will help you shop if you'd like~

what? the overflow reservoir? should only be filled to the "full hot" marker...that one? think it's called 'the overflow bottle'~

Ah, Ok Ok. I was focused on the small upright nipple, but he is right gab. That other, bigger one is the radiator intake that does..just that ..go to engine

That red circled part looks like where the upper radiator hose goes. The lower hose goes in the lower right corner. How large is the opening?

David, you're amongst the living. I crashed and burned after my three margarita fancy what kept me up all night- back again, and filled with fury and confusion and will try to help anyways I can...even now~

Giants baseball in fifteen minutes, gotta make some popcorn and pull up a seat vs. the CR tonight won 4-2 yesterday, still waiting for Posey to hit a home run hasn't done it since his nine year contract begun~

to eat salty snacks and a belly full of them after three slushy margaritas is a quotient suitable for a night of tossin' and turnin' with a belly ache, head ache and insomnia...if you must ask. got three shakers of salt, one I can look at eight inches from my keyboard, my wife brings me eggs in the morning, salt shaker is left over from breakfast three days ago...

Jon Miller on KNBR is a lot tastier to listen to than kruk and kuip but fifteen seconds ahead of the action, usually but AM and TV on at the same time Duane Kuiper's insight into the pitching is very valuable, which you won't get with Jon Miller~ Mike Krukow and Duane Kuiper are excellent together, never step one each other's toes and stay on top of the action, not like those bozos on channel 2 who aren't even looking at the game let alone 'sportscast' it~
