These did have manual trans. as an option, you just have to hunt for one in the classifieds, Ebay, etc.

The 1992-1993 Daytona is NOT an easy car to find, let alone with specific options. Are you looking for a V6? 2.5L turbo?

There is also the Iroc R/T, but those only came with the 5 speed A568 transmission. But for the plain Iroc option, the 3.0 V6 came with the A543 manual 5 speed transmission, and I am pretty sure the A604 automatic transmission. But I am not as certain what came with the 2.5l Turbo 5 speed (more then likely the A523) but the automatic transmission would be the A413. Good Luck on the search.

Just to verify what Matt said; The 1992-1993 ES and IROC models came with the 3.0L 6G72 SOHC V6, and were available (an extremely rare option) with the A543 5-speed manual. Note, that I believe the IROC also came with a turbo II motor (2.5L turbo), that was also available in manual. The base version was available with the standard throttle body injected 2.5L I4 and a 5 speed manual. Matt, you're also right in that the V6 motors came with the A604 automatic. That transmission was trash. This in comparison to the A543 manual which was practically indestructible. I really wish I had never sold my '92 ES 3.0L V6 5-Speed. That car was insane. One of the best cars chrysler ever built in my opinion.

The Iroc was not available with the 2.5l T2, which was only offered from the factory in Mexico, and still only had the stock performance of the stock 2.2l T2 setup. But in 92, the Iroc was also available with the 2.5l T1 (no intercooler) with both the automatic and manual (if I remember correctly). But the only 2.5l turbo engine that was offered in the states is the non-intercooled version, but an intercooler and radiator combo can be found and installed. For the T2 (which has forged internals with an intercooler added for better performance), the last year that it was offered was 89 in Daytonas, and then 90 and 91 was found in the Chrysler TC by Maserati. Then in 90, the T2 engine was replaced with the T4 (TIV) VNT engine, which was virtually the same but the regular turbo was replaced with a Garrett VNT turbo. Then in 91 and 92, the T3 (TIII) came out and got rid of the T4 engine all together. But there are a few forum's that you can find the parts at, turbododge.com being one of them. But I have gotten my Daytona finally running and getting ready to install my A555 transmission to replace the A520 that is in it right now. But all of the engine options had the manual transmission optioned. And I do know where there is an ES 3.0l 92/93 body style for sale for only $200.

WHERE!? You know, you rarely find rust on these things, so it might be a decent venture! That 2.2L had cylinder heads by lotus. Still the TII in it's last production years was as powerful as ever, and still packed a punch. Est 15,000 cars in '92-'93 production, about 10,000 in '92 and the final 5000 were '93 models built after may of '92. So yeah, difficult car to find. Cool you found an A555 to put in your car. I imagine you've also made the upgrade to a cometic headgasket, etc. (all the usual stuff)

It is about half an hour outside of Wichita, KS. For my car, I have not gone with a Cometic due to price. But I am just slowly working my way to get it closer to being complete in terms of interior. But between trying to go to class, sell spare parts, and being a Moderator at TD.com, I don't have much extra time to work on the Daytona. But it will be getting a 16v Hybrid in the next few years. But what upgrades I have done includes FFV injectors, Conical Springs, 2 piece intake, T2 turbo, and a few other goodies. If you want to know more on the other Daytona, let me know.

I have a red 1992 Dodge Daytona Iroc hatchback with a 5 speed manual transmission that I am selling on Ebay. It has a 3.o engine without any additions. Does anyone know what the horsepower rating is?

I have a 91 daytona 2.5L Se automatic but in the irock or shelby the automatic is very rare to find I've had 3.0 auto in a van and it slipped going backwards he's in reverse he's right that engine with an automatic will tear it up and regarding the turbos on those come with four tipes turbo 1t2,t3 and the varyable valve turbos.

Automatic trans was offered but hard to find on the iroc or shelby moddle.
