Possible Modifications?

Question type: Car Customization
I have a 1988 Buick Century and am looking to turn this family sedan into a sleeper, it's got 43,000 original miles and has been garage kept it's entire life, I don't want to destroy the car, just make it more responsive and maybe a little quicker, any suggestions on possible mods? Bigger throttle body, four barrel carb, stiffer suspension, sway bars, bigger lines, poly bushings, etc.?

I don't know what engine you have but the 3.8 could be supercharged. This car is not a good candidate for a hot rod.
It's a 3.3L V6, I know it'll never be a hot rod I'm just looking to not drive a boat, I'm not expecting it to be a track car, that's not what it's built for, I'm just looking for more response when I turn the wheel. I was thinking just a set of coilovers, different exhaust and maybe a four barrel carb so when I put my foot down it doesn't take 5 years to get up to speed. Other customization I'm looking to do is to tint the windows and get different rims.
Your engine is not fuel injected? There is little you can do to make more power. You can sharpen up the handling with some performance springs that lower the car slightly and wider wheels and lower profile tires. If you have 15" wheels you can switch to 16" wheels and lower profile tires. A louder muffler will make it SEEM faster. ;)
I just inherited the car so to speak and it's not at my house for the time being, I still have to go pick it up, I was under the impression it had a carburetor but I could be wrong which makes things a whole lot easier in my opinion. But when it gets down to brass tacks, if I want to go fast, this isn't the right car to do it in?
