Engine swap

First, I was not aware the Century came with anything other than a 3.1 V6 engine. The Century and Regal are twins with different names and standard features. All Regals came with the 3800 V6 which is a excellant engine....good gas mileage and decent performance. Unless your Century is something special.....why not look for a Regal that already has the 3800 engine and more standard features. If you can find a Regal GS it will have the 3800 Supercharged engine.....you will be real happy with that engine.
The 88 has a 4 and 2 different standard V6 options. I will look for a regal
I must have been asleep when typing the first reply. 1997 and newer was when the Century and Regal shared the same body....if this forum would allow, I would delete the first response so I hope everyone reads this and disregards the first response. I have a 1988 Buick New Product Manual.(sometimes they are even wrong) it says the 1988 Century was available with 2.5 4 cylinder, 2.8 V6, and to my supprise a 3.8 V6 The interesting side note...it says the Regal came with the 2.8 V6...... I know later all the GS Regals came standard with the 3.8 V6 but at the time of printing it was not shown for 1988. I owned a 1999 and 2000 Regal GS with the supercharged 3800 and that is a great car to own and if you can find a nice one grab it.
