Brake line

Asked by Niesy83 Jul 27, 2019 at 02:56 PM about the 1989 Buick Electra Park Avenue Sedan FWD

Question type: General

Need to replace my entire brake line. It's completely rusted.
Have had a few quotes and they are ridiculously high. Do
have someone that can do it for me. But having trouble
finding anything that would fit my car. Don't wanna make
them do everything so trying to find some answers and
have everything ready for them to do the job. I know
nothing about cars so any help would be greatly
appreciated thanks in advance!!!

You don't need to replace the whole line if there is only one section that is bad. A decent garage or brake shop can cut out the rusted area and splice in some new line, bleed and refill the system. I had it done to one of my cars a few years ago and it was around $430.

TDolby. Well according to the shop i took it to they said the entire line is rusted. But wouldn't give me a price there to fix it said they would call me and that was last week. Called 2 shops today and one gave me a quote of 1,000.00 and the other 450-600. Just dont wanna get ripped off
