Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Morning. I have a 1985 w123 230e. The car stalled
while driving. Engine is perfect but it seems the
fuel flow is the issue. Fuel distributor seems fine
but the engine keeps flooding to the point that u
can smell the fuel on the plugs and dipstick. I need
assurance please

that mechanical fuel pump/distributor is notorious- you know the piece that looks like a hyper-drive from a UFO? even used, failed ones are worth money because they don't make them anymore- anyway, before you go spending money on a rebuilt one, i would find a Merc specialist to do a diagnosis-
