I am looking at a 88 convertible vw cabriolet. With high miles 200k ..guy says new everything..needs soms work but is 1800 too much?

200,000 km as about average for these cars now. Currently they average $3,000 to $5,000 (Canadian). Of course that depends on condition. If the car is mechanically sound, no rust, and the top is in good shape, $1,800 is a good price.
