Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My rear reading lamp in my 1989 Lincoln Town Car always comes on when the
engine is started.  Turning the light off by the switch does nothing.  When the
engine is turned off, the lamp goes out.

Sounds like a bad switch or bad ground. If there's no visible screws of any kind, pop off the cover with a small flat bladed screwdriver and the screws will be behind the cover. Jim
