87 caprice with a 305, when going uphill it acts like its out of gas, or flooded.

Asked by Ignis_1835 Jan 14, 2017 at 01:10 PM about the 1987 Chevrolet Caprice LS Brougham Sedan RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Car is a 87 LS with 46 k but someone tried to break in, so the column is from a
pontiac parasienne. something was blowing fuses, the radio doesn't work and
the interior lights wouldn't turn off so i took the bulb out, and someone cut the
wire to the trunk switch. I also want to change the carriage lights on the middle
posts because they're dim. So with all that I really really neeed a wiring diagram
for the car, and the entire dash is already out and I can more or less stock and
whats not, but i'm not good  at wiring and I'm stumped.  It also has some old
broken vacuum lines, which I'm trying to change and replace, but again, I need a
diagram...the Haynes book doesnt show much. thank you sooooo much and let
me know if you want a picture of the fuse box and the wiring behind the dash.
thanks again.

Buy a factory manual, Haynes books are not that great. GOOD LUCK - you need a truck load of it.
