1982 350 camaro
Asked by Leviathan_Jene Sep 14, 2016 at 12:50 AM about the 1982 Chevrolet Camaro Coupe RWD
Question type: Car Customization
So i recently bought a 82 camaro and i want to give her the
drag car sound and make her a real head turner. I was
looking at cams but not sure which one to go with and also
wondering what else would be good to do. Without getting
new heads or sending them in. Please and thanks.

Don't over do it with carb size, too big will just flood you out.

Never under estimate tire quality the best you can afford and is reasonable for the build cost. Look at the picture of the car (blue CRX with my tag picture it has 200+ MPH ZR rated soft compound Yokohama tires on deep dish 7 & 1/2 inch reverse Offset aluminum racing rims 11 inch total width each (That makes the overall width at the wheels 8 inches wider than stock and that was back in the early 1990's. I put 80 thousand miles on those tires. It has a 1986 Honda oem stock Prelude carb engine in it and nothing ever caught it.
Buy an issue of Hot Rod Magazine- check out the Summit website-

I bought them back years ago in 1993. I have looked for other and have not seen any and I only saw the set I bought and another set they had for sale at the same time I bought mine. I think I have another picture it may show a little more of them. The place I bought them at was a local shop that sold rims and had them all over the top of the building and inside too. They moved form where they were to where I do not know, I do not remember the name of that shop in Birmingham, AL, but he rims are American Eagle Racing. I could pick them up with the tire on them with my pinky. I ended up buying another CRX and lifted it up 4 inches and used these rims with some off road tires and took if off road. I sold the 2nd car with them on there and later I wanted to get another set for a 3rd crx and American Eagle Racing said they do not have them or ever kept any in stock, they were some they did very few of. I look ate ebay and craigslist and others hoping I can find them again I paid $997.00 not counting tax in 1993 for them. That would equate to $4000.00 today.
