It's getting fire and gas but won't run

My wife's 86 Chrysler LeBaron convertible 2.2 turbo we changed
cap rotor spark plugs put a new distributor in it change the fuel
filter it's getting fire and gas starts runs for a second and dies and
then won't start back up. I've been a mechanic for 32 years and
this one's got me puzzled. I was wondering if the ECM would
cause it to do that when we bought the car there were three of
them in the car in the trunk.
