Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have had issues getting the car to turn over and start because the car isnt in park properly. if I wiggle the shifter or move the steering column up and down i can get it to start sometimes but now thats not working anymore. how can I take apart the steering column to check the wires inside it. I already removed the steering wheel.
