why do the rear brake cylinders keep blowing out.

I replaced the brake shoes and cylinders and bled the system it looked and worked fine for about a month. then
the right rear cylinder blew out. replaced cylinder again. about a month after that both rear cylinders blew out. Any
ideas on whats making that happen?

are you running the correct diameter shoes? ok how about shoe to drum clearence should be slight rub always

Hi The brake drums are now worn to much out of spec. so the cylinder as to go out to far and blows out . an easy fix with a new set of drums. PS at one time we could a kit that would go at the but tum of the shoe to make the shoes go out farther at the butt-um to but the shoe out at the but-tum when the drums would weir out of spec,. and that would stop the cylinder from blowing out . good luck
