a used car dealer called "auto source"/joe, in denver colorado told me that due to the privacy act they can not obtain oil change records for cars they obtain through aution or other avenues that they buy cars for resell. I had orginally called to ask about a car they had listed with a carfax that showed large gaps in the maintenance records. Is this true? 2 Answers
Is their a privacy act that doesnt allow dealers access to car maintenance records when they buy a car for resale?
