Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My daughter’s car unable to keep running without
pushing pedal to floor while in park.  A local
mechanic said the mass flow control needs to be
replaced for $565.  Anybody with same model car
ever have similar experience?

It wasn’t a Mazda car but a truck, same thing as you, replaced the MAF assembly and that fixed it. Is that parts and labor cause it seems high.

ps. MFC Replacement fixed the problem. Now fuel gauge not accurately measuring 3/4 full gas tank. Are there key codes to enter? If so how would a non Mazda mechanic enter them? If the battery was disconnected/reconnected would it reboot dashboard electronics? Seeking opinions to my ? Thanx.

Did you disconnect main power without using the memory saver tool? If you did then the programming has been corrupted, the dealer will need to do a re-flash.
